It's Hubbard Time.

OK...the former ethics-challenged Speaker of The Alabama House---Mike Hubbard--- has two weeks to report to prison to serve a four year term. That's after the All-Republican Alabama Supreme Court refused to re-hear his arguments for acquittal.

Had he accepted his guilty verdict and sentence when it was handed down in July of 2016...we would be writing about his being released after serving his four year sentence! (Presuming he was not released for "good behavior".)

His lawyers are deciding whether to file a Federal Court appeal.
 Presuming that is not successful...
Maybe he can teach some classes during his time behind bars:

How to appeal.
How to avoid jail the next time.
How to...

No, wait! Perhaps he should be taking some classes from other inmates!

  • How to make the right kind of friends in here.
  • Learning sleep positions to stay safe.
  • Find the prison law library and learn some law (with special attention to the ethics law you wrote!)
